Okay, seriously, nobody else thinks the passage between 2:04 and 2:14 is sped up? Granted, I haven't seen him live, so maybe those of you who have seen him can vouch that he can actually do that over-under thing THAT FAST. It just looks so sped up. Look at his head and his leg... unnatural movements/twitches indicate speeding the film up, not to mention how insanely fast/blurry his hands are moving. The "Speed Kills" video clip is even more pronounced... anybody got a link of that?

Strangely enough, the over-under passage between 3:07 and 3:48 looks a LOT more natural. Weird.

I still love his videos regardless... just those over-under parts look a bit funny from a video perspective.

Belive me or not, but I (If I want to) and a lot of other players can play this ****. Michael is cool, but his shredding patterns are very easy, Yngwie's licks are more difficult to play IMO

Only REALLY difficult thing is sweeping left hand backwards

There's some NAMM vids I have of Angelo from NAMM 2003 and 2004. Definitely no camera tricks there. I shot it all in person.

I roadied a Nitro show here in St. Louis in 1988. That Mutha-Fer is as fast live as he is on the video. They were billed as "The fastest, highest and the loudest band in the world". We had to carry their gear down (2) flights of stairs in the club. The friggin PA cabinets were insanely heavy. The kick drum would give you blurred vision every time it would hit. He, Jim Gillette, and TJ Racer were really cool and down to earth dudes. Can't remember the drummer's name. I don't know if any of you know about the ROCK-4 XMAS 8 fundraiser in Long Island, NY in December but I think I'll be in attendance. Michael Angelo will be there. Please note that I contacted some folks in charge and it's MEMBERS of Yngwie Malmsteen, Anthrax, Ace Frehley, not the actual artists. Here's the info:

Saw and met him afterwards at a New Orleans clinic 5 years ago. We were standing about 3 feet from the Guitar Center stage with a good view. Amazing proficiency, speed, showmanship, etc. Also a nice guy.

He's a bit over the top, but in terms of speed-picking, I don't think there's anyone faster with such clean technique like that. Every single note is picked perfectly--almost like a machine. Amazing stuff. His "No Boundaries" cd shows that he has some taste in amidst all those notes, as well.

That animal on his head has been growing continually for years, and now it's almost down in front of his eyes. I wish someone would just shoot that danged animal and bury that hair helmet once and for all. Holy Horseballs!

It's a wig. He likes that style. I was talking to him at NAMM about it. Really great guy, and a great sense of humor, too.

I always wonder how they manage to speed up the film during his "over-under" passages but he still manages to merge with the music! No way a human can move that fast... but then again, Michael Angelo's playing is inhuman to begin with. I always love seeing that video but it's always on my brother's computer... time to save me a copy for myself.
