  • Anybody get the new God Forbid?

What do you think of these guys? I sae them live quite awhile back and they somewhat impressed me. I never listened to them since, until last night when I got their new album.

Holy **** those 5150's sound badass! I'm starting to like them more than Shadows Fall I think.
Check my Jackson themed Myspace page, hear some good metal, and check out a little shred fest by me.

Friends of mine....I used to work on their amps at the repair shop I worked at. Their 5150's are pretty heavily modded. Dallas has an extra gain stage added to his. And Doc has some kind of SLO mod on his. Doc has since switched to Triple X's (live...but he recorded "Gone Forever" with the 5150)

I have the CD....it's much better...tighter, more focused than "Determination"

I wouldn't have guessed they were heavily modded. Sound stock to me. At least on the album. Can that Jerry at FJA do those mods?

What point does an extra gain stage have on a 5150?

Yep I got it ...it's good

I like it a tad more than Shadows Fall.

Went to get new The Haunted "Revolver" which kicks both these bands asses to hell and back and then some...but Best Buy was sold out.

        Donnie Swanstrom 01/25/06..miss ya!

It's actually more of a low-mid booster...but it runs in the gain stage. I've only seen it when I had the amp open.
I don't know who did the mod. But it sounds amazing in person. Who is Jerry @ FJA? The shop I worked for was Central Jersey Music with Dennis Kager

He's on this Forum and many others, he has a site called FJA Mods. Lots of clips of modded amps there. Does it really sound that much different than a stocker.
