That "motley Crue" self titled cd is far and away thier best collection of songs and micks tone on it is incredible.I have a bootleg of some rehearsal footage for the cd with mick using that guitar.It looked more like a Guitar Center then a jam space.I LOVE THAT GUITAR!!!

I agree with Bad Seed.
That Album is GREAT and is the only CD I still have from Motley Crue.
The tone of that album is killer as well.
I used to try to duplicate my sound based on that album back in mid 90's.
I even used to play that CD to warm up every day [img]/images/graemlins/laugh.gif[/img]
Listen to the song "Smoke the sky". KILLER playing too.
And from the interview of Mick, this Charvel was his #1 guitar he used on the album.

I agree the tone on that album was the best, but didn't Mick use a black les paul in all of their early videos? I vaguely remember Live wire and I thought it was a black Les Paul he was playing? (now mind you I haven't seen this video in probably 10 years so I may be off on this one) [img]/images/graemlins/cool.gif[/img]

Yea he used to use that Black Les Paul.
Then he switched to Guild and Kramer?
On that Album of "Motley Crue" with John Corabi, his main guitar was the Red Prepro Charvel.

Too bad he wasn't using Charvel during their earlier years, they had tons of exposure, all I see him using are kramers in most of their videos
