Re: Dimebag dropped by Washburn

    [ QUOTE ]

and the KH-2 is bolt on because people don;t want to pay for around 3K for the neckthrough. Though ESP makes them for Drumcityguitarland occastionally. and the Relics sell decently enough.

    [/ QUOTE ]

Bah not really convincing to me considering that ESP has LTD neck thru-s at a price point of 500 and one with EMGS at 800. No reason the KH-2 should be a bolt on none at all.

yeah he did play alot of different guitar, but from what ive read the old Dean MLs are what he prefers. he also has a collection of old MLs that do not tour or get used live. IIRC in an old interview he claimed to buy every old Dean ML he saw when he toured this was around the CFH era.

        [/ QUOTE ]

Yep, this is true and it's not just ML's he buys. Back in 89 I was negotiating with a local pawn shop to buy 3 early 80's USA Deans(A ML, Z and E'lite) as a package deal and we were getting hung up over something like $50. I think the deal was for like $700-750. In the middle of all of it, Darrell walked in and bought all of them out from under me .......... still kicking myself for that one.

Being back with Dean is like coming home to me," Dimebag said in a statement. "It's where I started. I was missing the massive crunch, tone, sustain and effortless playability. Having Dean's back in my hands has put fun back into my guitar playing like I was driving a car with three cylinders and now I'm back to eight and burning nitro

I wish artists would not come out with rubbish like this. Its kinda crappy to hear guitar players saying this when clearly its for the money and/or endorsement deal that they are offered. It does nothing to help their already flagging credibility.

Yeah, it sounds like it's an excuse for the lame **** he's been playing. Lay off the pot dude!

Why the hell would you play a guitar that you didn't like for all those years? Oh well...I wonder what his sig will look like.

[/ QUOTE ]So to everyone who bought a Washburn Dime he just said he pimped them out to buy inferior guitars! I think the Washburn Dimes are just fine, but that is rather dumb of him to say. I wonder if Dean wrote the copy and he just signed off on it? The things some of these ads say, I suspect the endorsers sign a blank slate agreeing to let the maker say whatever in their names.

                  Re: Dimebag dropped by Washburn

Yeah, so basically he's saying" I outright lied to all my fans, telling them what a great guitar the Washburn was, all for money".

                  What an ****!

Dime was always a favourite of mine, but the garbage he's putting out now with Damageplan is atrocious.
