  • Jacksons and TSO

OK, some of you know that I'm the webmaster for Angus Clark's website. Angus tours with TSO's west group with Al Pitrelli. Well, what this brings me to is that Angus Clark has informed me that he'll be playing a Jackson Rhoads on tour this year.

Sadly TSO East will be performing in Chicago, and I'm not able to get out to St. Louis, so I won't get a chance to see Angus this year. But if any of you do, please get lots of pictures for me/him/the site and at the meet & greet, tell him I said, "Hi!".

I just read an article that said TSO singer Daryl Pediford died yesterday. No details yet.

Yeah, I read that on the official site and on a TSO discussion group. I have no details as of yet. I just got back in town from my Fiance's grandma's funeral.

There is supposed to be a Jackson or a Charvel with each touring company of TSO. This was mandated by Paul O'Neill as a tribute to Criss Oliva. (as told to me by Angus) Angus a couple years back had a newer Charvel strat which I'd like to get my hands on.

Daryl has died? Wow, I've met him a bunch of times and he was a really, REALLY nice guy. I wonder what happened. I'll ask my friend Jeff (TSO drummer) next time I speak with him.

I'm saddened to hear about this.

Pretty brief; "Our bandmate died, what a drag!
                  NOW BUY OUR BOX SET!"

It doesn't answer any questions about how he died, which can only fuel speculation. That's not the best way to honor a bandmate's memory
                  IMO.

Maybe his family wanted to keep things a little private eh?

The family and the band are being very tight-lipped about it. I actually spoke to Angus on the phone today, but I forgot to ask him. Not sure if he would know anyway seeing that he's on the other tour.
