What exactly do you mean by Nu-Death? Example?

I don't wanna open up a big can of worms, but bands like As I Lay Dying, Lamb of God, Shadows Fall, My Dying Bride, etc... I really don't get. You know, I may be way off even calling it 'death' but it seems like thats how mainstream perceives them.

My Dying Bride play doom with death vocals, but it's not death metal

I've never heard that kind of music called nu-death, but I agree there is a world of difference between Shadows Fall and Suffocation. I don't really think My Dying Bride fits into that though, they've been around forever.

It's okay. I listened to it a bunch yesterday, actually. The sound production is fantastic, as is the musicianship. The songwriting is mediocre. The disc is slowly growing on me, bit by bit. But, I can't see that I'll ever hold it in really high regard.

I really like Incantation (as i like most death metal) but to be honest i have to say that i don't like them as much as i like other bands. I always think that they use artifical harmonics way too much and it gets a bit annoying. Same about the overuse of the tremolo with all vader guitar solos.
But yes Incantation is really cool. It's just this small bit i don't like that much.

I agree with you regarding Vader's tremolo use. One of the little reason I stopped using floyds.

Incantation's music wouldn't be wounded if they used artificial harmonics a bit less.

Both bands could learn a thing or too from The Chasm, in my opinion.
