Good to hear he's back but fill me in on what his recent troubles were. Last time I even heard his name was on the Satriani/Vai tribute years ago.

There had been rumors that he was doing very poorly & was holed up in a hotel room in Vegas. There are a few threads here about that. Someone posted on CC a while back that Mike Varney said Jake was doing well and that we might see more of him. This announcement makes it look as though that report might be true. I sure hope so!

the wicked alliance thing stalled b/c they couldn't pay the studio bills, and that whole thing wound up going to court.

I was just commenting on how they hyped WA and then there's nothing. I guess I didn't follow that one close enough.

I liked the Mandy Lyon stuff with George Lynch, so I was really interested on what it was going to sound like with Jake.

I hope Jake is back and past his "troubles". He was and still is a big influence on a lot of players.... including myself!

i don't know how well reported the whole WA stall was, i was just lucky enough to speak with the guy who owned the recording studio where it was being worked on. jake was pretty mia for a lot of it.

too bad, but i hope he puts something out really soon.

I had heard quite a bit of hype about it, I can't recall where though.

I agree, I'd like to see Jake come out of his hole. (I'm not worried about him seeing his shadow yet)
