I'm talking to Mike and Jake right now, Jake is playing all the guitars, rhythm and lead.

    Playlist for new album:

    1. Way back to the bone, by Trapeze
    2. I'll be creepin, by Free
    3. Love is worth blues, by Leslie West
    4. Evil, Cactus
    5. I'm come tublim, by Grand Funk
    6. Hard way to go, by Savoy Brown
    7. Woman, by James Gang
    8. Rock Candy, by Montrose
    9. Guess I'll go away, by Johnny Winter
    10. Whiskey Train, by Procul Harum
    11. I can't stand it, by Robin Trower

He is now using A cat's eye fuzz pedal, a Germania 44, a Octopussy Octive box, a Voodoo Lab Proctavia. He is using various Marshalls. The album should be out around March. Jake sounds incredible and is doing great. The album is being recorded in Vegas. He said he loves the fact that people are excited about his new album. I will be forwarding all your nice comments to Varney tomorrow and he will give them to Jake.

I can't wait for this man. Sadly I've never seen Jake live because I'm just in my early 20's so his day with Ozzy was before I was old enough to go to shows. I'm glad he's on his feet and out there kicking some a$$ like he should.

What guitar is he playing now? Still the ESP?

Alhtough I'm really happy for Jake and that he is rocking again, but if I wanted to hear cover tunes I'd hit the local club circuit

I will gladly listen to whatever Jake puts out, & I think this is a pretty sweet selection of tunes to cover. I was whistling Whiskey Train just the other day & I haven't heard that one in at least 10 years. Big Trower & West fan, too, & I can't wait to hear Jake's take on their stuff. All in all, this is great news!

I haven't heard many of those tunes, so they'll be fresh to me, even if they are covers.

I'm just encouraged that Jake's back to work again. If he handles this okay, then an album of original material may not be too far away.

My old band opened for Badlands in Miami. It was a treat to play with a band like that. We even stayed at the same hotel. We signed in at the same time they did. That's how I found out that Jake is Jake Williams. I think the E. Lee thing is better. That dude has MEGA hair!

I listen to my Badlands tunes regularly. I can't wait to hear these covers from Jake - and I hope he follows this up with more originals, in a Badlands vein.
