The official word is this. This comes from a very reliable source.

Dimebag was the only member of the band shot.
Mayhem, the band's head of security was shot and killed.
Chris, the band's tour manager was shot & is hospitalized in critical condition.
Vinnie Paul's drum tech was shot but his injuries are not serious.

Kinda sureal bieng in Dallas right now.....Dime was everywhere in this town and like most of you guys I grew up trying to play like Dime. He will be greatly missed.

They were just in my neck of the woods this passed Sunday. A friend of mine is in a band that was touring with them. I wonder how he's doing. It was bad enough hearing about it, I couldn't imagine seeing it. The whole thing has me all a mess. I don't know what to think.

It's one thing if someone dies from alcohol or a drug overdose, but something like this is disturbing!
