Re: Dave Mustaine\'s remaining Jacksons for sale

I'm not going to assume he's using drugs again, I will say I am sure he knows that there are some collectors out there who would pay that price to get one these guitars. I think the price is insane, & Dave is a businessman, he's not hinking how can I get these guitars into the hands of those I have inspired, (if that were the case he would just give them away).

I will say that the logoed esp masking tape over the Jackson logo is :BS , & tacky. I dont care if it was due to the ESP deal or Dave being pissed @ Jackson (which I think is misdirected, should be AKAI). I mean comeon he's not endorsing the guitars, simply he's saying I used to play these & now I dont so hear they are for sale @ a ridiculous price.

And yet just last week, Dave mentioned in his post related to Dimebag that he needs to "let things go."

Re: Dave Mustaine\'s remaining Jacksons for sale

Wait what happened to the original logoed KV1? If its at the jacksonmuseum site, then...wtf is he selling? And I thought he had it painted silver, in which case why is there a logoed KV1 on that site?

                That confused me as well.
Probably there are 2 of these so called #1.
I know Dave used to use 2 Silver KVs both made in U.S. and the ones he is selling this time are the ones.

I think it is on ESP website.

                        Hey Dave,

I know you're reading this, so why don't you prove to the world what kind of guy you are? Here's a deal, you seemed quite sincere on the tribute for Dime, so why don't you throw #1 up for auction and "all" proceeds go to one of Dime's funds? EVH allegedly gave up one of his Holy grails...

As for the prices, yeh, they're a "bit" high, but they are artist owned and well documented, a lot of history all over, I think the $5-$10k range is more appropriate.

                        Just my opinionated $.02

If he puts some masking tape on them in his kitchen and then sells them on Ebay for $15000, would that be ok?

Why would I spend that kind of dough on a used Jackson when I can get a new Mustaine ESP for a lot less, and Dave himself claims how much better they are:P

I'm sure he does, especially when he's selling the rest of his Jackson's. Obviously I don't know this first hand, but I would tend to think he does, at least someone that's close to him or handles his on-line affairs. I'll bet there's a lot of people that we'd be shocked to know who reads the JCF, and probably post as well.

                                Just speculation, but...
