Re: Dave Mustaine\'s remaining Jacksons for sale

His webmaster registered here and was promptly banned for posting Dave's auction last go around as his first post. I guess Mustaine's "inner circle" can't read directions/rules.

I'll bet there's a lot of people that we'd be shocked to know who reads the JCF, and probably post as well.

Just speculation, but...

I believe Rob Cavestany from Death Angel used to post here, too. Afterall, he did have a unique guitar made for him and named after his band.

There was one kook who bought a KV from the original auction and paid $6500. The members at Megadeth.com suffered through about a year of him posting pictures posed in front of a full Marshall stack setup in his parent's living room. Last we heard, he had a glass case built for his dream machine.

Then there was the chick in Arizona who dropped 2 years worth of house notes on a doubleneck KV. From what I was told, she didn't even play guitar (which is cool). She just wanted to add to her home shrine of Daveypoo.

I tried to buy his oxblood Firebird through his beloved webmaster prior to the auction. I've never been afraid to pay premium dollar for a quality axe, but they made no effort to deal. Phuck'em!

I was able to score a mint condition Alvarez Koa Yairi Acoustic/Electric which was sold as belonging to Mustaine. When I got the guitar, the initials "M.F." were written with a permanent marker on the case lock. I contacted Marty Friedman and in a gentlemanly way stated that he was the only member of Megadeth endorsed by St. Louis Music / Alvarez. Imagine his surprise to find out his stuff was being sold off.

Re: Dave Mustaine\'s remaining Jacksons for sale

Judging by what has been sold already, it's obvious that if your a fan and you have money you'll do whatever it takes, me personally, I wouldn't want to own a guitar like that EXCEPT, if I was offered Dime's "dean from hell!" but that is the only axe I would want to own that was pre owned.

I think the idea that Dave is still with us, and selling his gear for that much is INSANE, he doesn't ...repeat DOESN'T need the money, so why he would do such a low ball thing seems wierd to me, C'mon dave you said you turned a new leaf when Dime passed, so lead by example, sell your guitars for 1500$, or if you are going to sell them for 6500$ at least donate some of that to the Dime Trust fund! C'mon droogie!

anyhow
/ramble off

RIP Brother Dime!!!

Look at the rampant EVH fans bidding on guitars he's just playing once. At least Mustaine's guitars were his own personal guitars built for him, and not for a quick turnaround profit. Geez.

He has the right to ask whatever he wants, and bidders have the right to bid, or not. Then he can drop the prices or keep the guitars. No one has accused Dave of undervaluing his self-worth, so what's the surprise?
Ron is the MAN!!!!

It's more a matter of overvaluing his self-worth, I think. And that might not be a problem but it once again shows his true nature.
