And I'm not sticking up for Dave, I think he's a whiney little bitch... I just don't see what the big deal is.

Agreed. He owns 'em, he can ask what he wants for 'em.Either some fans with deep pockets will shell out, or they won't, and he can drop the prices or keep the guitars. There was a music store here on the Coast, Tippit's, that had an all-maple Les Paul in a glass case, with a price tag of $10,000.00. This was in the mid-70s when you could have ordered that guitar for about $2,000.00. It wasn't celeb-owned, it was just an oddball Les Paul, and I doubt he ever sold it. His store was gone when I came back from L.A., but I don't think he ever wanted to sell it, he wanted a conversation piece in his store.Maybe Dave's wife wants him to clear the room out and he wants to keep 'em, so he set the price so high that if anyone DOES buy, he's willing to part with 'em.Having said all that, I wouldn't personally buy anyone's celebrity guitar, I don't want to pay the premium because it was Mustaine that sweated on and dinged up that KV, I just want to pay the used value of the instrument and get value for my money. I just think he's entitled to find out if there are sme rich 'Deth fans out there who would cough it up. Hey, if I hit the lottery BIG, I might bid.Not a $2-3 million lottery though, it'd have to be one of those $20-30 million scores. Gotta be frugal even if you hit the jackpot!
