I read an article ages ago, that stated the Grover Jackson Gave that White Charvel to Vivian to try out, and too keep of course. That was Viv's 1st guitar with a tremelo. He was a die hard Les Paul guy beofre the Charvels.

I heard that also, but it was either the Holy diver Charvel or the Last In line that I heard it about. I also heard that he had a friend of a frind kind of deal with the Graphic on the Last in line guitar and didn't really like it. I thought it looked cool!

Hey Rick...just wanted to shoot you a line real quick so as not to leave you hanging. There's a buddy of mine in the PA area that stays in regular contact with Viv...I talked to him on the phone today and he said he thought he could sniff up some info as to the where abouts of that white/red squares and skulls guitar..should hear from him by tomorrow.

Man that is Awesome! It's ra weird that for almost 3 years of asking and about 15 of just wondering and not seing it, that you may actually be the answer to my prayers [img]/images/graemlins/smile.gif[/img]

Seriously I really have wanted to know for a long time about it. In the video, you can see that he left of the trem and control covers and there is Black all over most of the back side, not a graphic or anything, just black and I have always wanted to know what this was for.

Rick, please accept my apologies in taking so long to get back with you...waiting to hear back from a friend of mine, Greg...he contacted Viv and is waiting to here from him..there's an outside shot that the guitar was actually passed from the roadie/tech to a collector. Not sure if it would be available for sale..but you never know..never say never..hopefully he can convince him to at least unrack it and shoot me some current/recent pics. I'm interested to see how she's held up over the years. If we can score some guit porn..I WILL POST ASAP! When I was younger, seeing that one in Cream and Hit Parader, really made me want a Charvel/Jackson! I remember going down to a local mom and pop shop..skipping school and snagging my mom's car..I loaded up a couple of acoustics, a drum set and about $100 and sat around all day waiting for the owner...I walked out with a red Charvel strat and case...of course I caught it when I got home! LOL! But the carnage that ensued was all worth it in the end. That was my first electric ever.

oh yea! My first Y&T experience was the Mean Streak video. I really liked Dave's voice. And then when he played this great solo, with the camera on the h/s viewing down the neck? woof! I was sold. Went right out and bought the album. [img]/images/graemlins/grin.gif[/img]

Still have it on vinyl too. Shame my turntable's on the fritz
