Alex Skolnick and Charvel

Hey guys. I recently went through some old magazines i had and i came across a The 1996 Charvel San Dimas catalogue. On the back it shows Alex Skolnick holding a Charvel San Dimas 2. I thought he went from Ibanez's in Testament and Savatage to Gibson Jazz guitars when he changed musical paths...any one know of what records he used Chavels on?

He used Criss Oliva's Charvels on Savatage's Handful of Rain record, don't know about the following tour though...
