I wasn't sure at first if it was a Jackson, then there were several up-front headstock shots...
The editing is so choppy, that if you aren't playing close attention it looks like Dave is playing the solo on the Jackson...
Our stupid Nazi firewall at work blocks a whole bunch of sites, especially ones that host mp3s. Would someone be willing to e-mail the video to my G-mail account so I can watch it?
If you watch it closely, it looks like the "young" dave is playing the Jackson and the "now" Dave is playing his new sig model ESP. The lead editing switches between the "young" and the "now"

Be without fear in the face of your enemies. Be brave and upright, that God may love thee. Speak the truth always, even if it leads to your death. Safeguard the helpless and do no wrong.

EDIT: Noodles this is a streaming video... no download possible sorry
To be honest, the DV8 sounds better than Dave's Jackson KV (as does the DV8R). It's much lighter too, which is surprising since the DV8s are made from mahogany and are bigger than KVs. Although, KVs do look better in general...with the exception of the insanely expensive DV8SE.

I haven't played ESP/LTD ones yet so I am not able to say which sounds/plays better or not but when I compared my KV1s and Y2KV, Y2KV sounded and played much better.
It probably has to do with the Kahler bridge I believe.
The String thru setting sounds much fuller IMO.
About the video, his Jackson looks SO MUCH nicer.
His new ESP needs the shark fins.
It's funny to see that the new 'deth song is named "Of mice and men", because i just studied a novel called Of Mice and men by John steinbeck in English lesson. The phrase has a meaning...let me check if the lyrics of the song match what i have learnt. it's a cool book.
anyways, i like his jackons more
I disagree. I got to play a used DV8-R at GC a few weeks ago for about 45mins and while it did sound and play good I much prefer the tone and feel of both of the KV2's I've owned. Not to mention I think it's fugly!
