• Yngwie Malmsteen - Unleash The Fury, arrived today

Hey folks!

That's right, Yngwies new album was in my mailbox today, I bought on ebay from Japan the day it was released (february 23rd) It's pretty good actually, not ground breaking maybe, but decent songs and godlike playing as always!

Some really nice instrumentals on it! Seems like it'll be quite a long time until it's released in the rest of the world!

The more I listen to it, the more it grows on me it seems...

Cool man, thanks for the little review of it. Didn't think he would do anything different from what he normally does, but at least ya said it's still a good album. Gonna try n hunt it down

anyone up for Sweden Rock? Yngwie is booked, and a great list of bands, but it kinda sucks that it's so far south in Sweden though...long drive from here

I think this is the best album of Yngwie in 10years(except his Concerto Suite with Orchestra album/video.. that was WAY cool).

18songs on this new CD including 3 instrumentals.
Songs like "Locked & Loaded","Unleash The Fury","Winds Of War"and "Cracking the Whip" are very cool.

Disappointment was the song "Cherokee Warrior" lead vocal by Yngwie..

Yngwie's the man as far as I'm concerned, he's my "guitar god". You <and I> may not agree on some/most/whatever his musical choices may be, but his style is defines shred IMO.

Is Doogie White handling the vocal duties on this one?

Yes, he is still on Vocal and I thought he did even better job on this new CD than the last album "Attack!".

I thought that he was a Blackmore reject but found respect after hearing him sing several Deep Purple tunes (Child in Time was one) live on the last tour.
Any front man that can belt that out (in tune) deserves high praise.

I'll be there! Megadeth, Anthrax, Behemoth, Yngwie, Motörhead, Dio... those are the bands I'm most interested in seeing, but of course I'll watch Mötley and the other headliners too, and some other bands as well I guess! I'd rather not do this, as there are surely guys who have done this, and it's probably available throughout file sharing clients! However, I uploaded one of the bonus vids on the disc: Yngwie, inspired by Bach
