Damn - went to order mine today and saw that they were out of stock. Didn't see the last few posts of this thread.

I've, uh, well, "heard" the new cd, and I definitely like it. I think the writing is not quite up to Satriani's level, but Petrucci's playing is, as usual, out of this world.

Actually, more than Satriani, it reminds me a LOT of Steve Morse's solo work--not surprising, as Morse seems to be Petrucci's biggest influence.

Well I personally think John has his better work in other projects and in DT itself. This soloCD contains some very nice work, but definitly not his nicest. That live version of Lost Without You that's been floating around for a while is for instance much better than the album version, it's incredible.

Just received my copy. Actually I am giving it my first listen through right now and I have to say it is very impressive. Like I expected anything less from John! It'll only get better with multiple listens.

I agree!!!

That would be the only disappointment of this album.
I get used to hear that original version of it and the new version, Petrucci added multiple guitar tracks while he plays the lead.

He has been playing this song since Awake tour in mid 90's.
He played it only with his guitar and keyboard.
G3 version with Bass solo in the middle was kick ass too.

I just got my copy. It's about time...You would think John would mail me one out himself, but he didnt. I had to pay full price. He finally thanked me in the liner notes though...been waiting on that since the Met2000 days.
