I think Bellas is by far the cleanest picker out there. Yes he does sound mechanical at times but his writing is really stunning in the way he uses counterpoint, he's a master. If you have ever seen any vids of him you'll see that he does those super clean sweeps without even muting at the budge, his picking hand is completly free!

My favorite Loomis solos (in no particular order) would be Engines of Hate, Evolution 169, River Dragon, Garden of Grey, Ambivalent, Seed Awakening ... it's hard to pick, because IMHO Jeff can do no wrong.
