SO far from what I've heard Loomis is pretty awesome, it's good to hear a guitarist actually ripping it up on a CD
that was released after 1989 (besides Petrucci)
There is so much crap out there right now some of these good

dudes I got 6000+ awesome underground metal cds...I spend a couple hundred a month religiously on metal...for years and years..I can't get enough of it..
if there is an awesome metal band out there..I probably have it or getting it...

It's received a huge-ass hype over here in Germany, anyway. I don't think they can hold a candle to Nevermore, let alone Jeff Loomis. It's nice stuff, but definitely not in the same league. Not even the same genre AFAIC, so it's all apples and oranges...Comment

Yeah it's been playing here over and over again all day...and the songs are growing on me more and more...I like it..but it is NOT Nevermore...no matter how they try..
But if you are a major Nevermore fanatic as I am...Its worth a mention...so I did

Yeah man I can't wait...
I made good friends with the band back in 98..
I even gave Tim Calvert one of my police badges...he was in Forbidden and joined Nevermore during Dreaming in Neon Black...he's another monster player ..
it is a shame that Tim had to quit playing to support his family..he flies for an ailrline now..would be cool to see him back in the scene since metal is doing well again ..
Jeff gave me his address and phone number some while back..I actually tried calling him but he wasn't home..
You can thank Bush for the resurgeance of METAL...
look what happend during the entire Clinton years...Metal was murdered and we had to suffer the Ebonic Plague for a decade..
have notice that "rap" metal is nearly non-existant now...so now that white boys can identify with their own music now (metalcore) instead of pretending to be black..
there is segragation in popular music again..

Thats cool, i gave Tim a oakland A's jersey when he was in forbidden(1996?) He wouldnt stop talking about it , so i traded him for a forbidden t-shirt.He was cool.That tour was testament and forbidden, what a killer night that was.Comment

Twisted was awesome, i sat and learned those solos for hours with my roommate.We would try to learn them first, very competitive.Good Times indeed.The frobidden evil was cool and glen still has those charvels from the combat video, including the evh prepro that craig used.Comment
