Not to be a downer (I know I'm going to be the minority), but I like the Bush stuff much better than the Joey Bagodonuts era. Sound of White Noise is one of my favorite metal albums of all time. I've seen them with Bush 3 times and they always sounded incredible.

Sound of White Noise rules. It's the only reason I started listening to Anthrax.
I have to say that I lost interest in Anthrax after the departure of Dan and Joey. Now they are back, I must get up to see them at this years Download Festival at Castle Donington.......Awesome [img]/images/graemlins/headbang.gif[/img]

I just watched the Headbanger's Ball with Anthrax. They gave ZERO info. We're taking it day by day, we're family, John is family, we don't know what's next, we love each other....I think they're full on lying. Bands are businesses and you don't just jump into something blind.
Before this reunion Scott was very forthcoming in interviews and through his AlphaMail column. Now he's all tight lipped. Very bizarre.
While I have a lot of time for Anthrax (I love the Joey era stuff and WCFYA is a great album), they're doing this simply to try to recapture the highest level of popularity that they ever achieved (end of the 80's), because while musically better or worse, they're a band on the decline in terms of public interest.
The fact that they've been pretty vocal in their dislike for each other (read virtaully any interview with Scott or Danny's 20 questions on metal-sludge) just compounds the appearence that this is a last ditch grasp for faded glory.
For all that, I hope it last though!

I noticed that too on HBB... while it was cool to see them all together, Scott did not seem thrilled at all to be there.
Dan seemed like he was trying too hard. I dunno, maybe they'll warm up to each other and have a good tour.
I hope so.
I got tickets for Sunday night that being said I am one of the guys who prefer Bush's Vocals but I like the Joey songwriting era I just never liked Joey's voice

i saw joey a few months ago. it was joey playing drums and singing. and i prefered it to the real anthrax with bush playing joey era songs.
granted the drums weren't half as good. but anthrax ruined 2 bands with one move. armored saint ruled. bush's vox sounded best with that band. and they killed it.

I think I may have to check this show out. Besides, KISS and Anthrax at the Star Plaza in Merrillville, IN was my first concert.
