Hey Tim,

Wanted to tell you that I really enjoyed your pictures!! Those are awesome! I know how much of a Vai fan you are, so I am thrilled that you had such a killer experience.
Your picture with your eyes closed... I thought you were seriously groovin'!

I was at the Cleveland show too-Tony's sweeps are amazing when he and Vai start going back and forth. Billy's bass sounded like a steamroller coming through (in a good way!).
I got to play with EVO too, and it looks like a truck ran over it-I'm ssurprised the paint manages to hang on. Great pics, bro. I'll try to get mine put on disk so I can post them when I get my computer back.

very accurate description, i was actualy surprised at the few jacksons and charvel strat heads he has.

Definitely some quality ones, though. I didn't know he had ever really used the Soloists, but apparently he did while in Alcatrazz.

His site also has an interesting section about Evo. I'm surprised that one is still playable, since it has a huge crack down the middle of the body. I know how it is to be attached to an instrument, though--that's gotta be scary, knowing that your guitar "life partner" is on its last legs...

He used lots of Charvels, Performance Strats, and Jackson Soloists in Alcatrazz and the David Lee Roth. Vai's most famous guitar (besides the JEMs) was the green Charvel strathead with all the stickers on it.
