Re: George Lynch Video-Mr. Scary lesson
Pick like him?
Not sure what you mean but its not hard to alertnate pick notes. The opening lick/basically main lick throughout, is very good to practice moderate/fast alternate picking. "The way" Lynch alternate picks for the lack of a better way to call it. He's very effiecent at it, and the way he holds his pick hand across the bridge, periodically with his middle, ring and pinky fingers extended out is entirely a different thing.
This part of it, does look odd, and is somewhat difficult to adjust too. This is not flash, using the pick hand like he does has purpose. However, everybody's pick hand is different. I tried years ago to use my pick hand like he does and it didn't work for me. Again, remembering everybody's pick hand is different I didn't bother with pursuing it.
Other players...Demartini of Ratt, Randy Rhoads, Lynch and a handful of others all pick, mute, hold and use the pick hand very much the same. Its noticable in the photo's and video's.
