Theory about Scott Ian leaving (pure speculation)

I´m sitting here, thinking about my future, and I was ponderring a new guitar design....I got to thinking of how PRS found his shape...And I thought of a LP DC...Somehow, the JJ jumped in my mind...

As we know, Jackson won´t do Gibson shapes anymore...The JJ WAS essentially a Gibson shape...I´m thinking Jackson stopped making JJs, and tols Scott why....being his signature guitar, it pissed him off, because they weren´t willing to do it, and their ideas of redesign weren´t anything he liked....so he left....

Any other theories /opinions?? It´s not like we´ll really find out, but it´s fun to weave these kind of thoughts..... [img]/images/graemlins/cool.gif[/img]

I dont think there are any conspiracies here. Dime sent him a guitar that was done up by Chewy, he liked it. I think it has more to do with the fact that everyone likes working with Chewy, than anything to do with Gibson.............

I wasn´t thinking along the lines of a conspiracy, just pondering why such a die-hard supporter would leave, and be as piissed as he seemingly was when approached about it @NAMM [img]/images/graemlins/scratchhead.gif[/img]

Scot has had a on again, off again relationship with jackson for years. Jackson endorsers now only get one free guitar and have to pay for the rest. Guys like Ian have been getting freebies for years and probably didnt like the idea of paying for them.

I have always thought he was a fucktard.

He's stated that he hates guitars solo's, that they are worthless to the song (some are) and should be done away with.

He must have been happy to get his wish in the form of Nirvana. The band that ultimatly killed his metal.

All of the endorsers were DROPPED by Jackson when their contracts expired. They were told that they were welcome to reapply. Ian, Mustane, et. al. said fuck that.

Washburn saw an opportunity to pick up some of the recently homeless and they did.

The one free guitar a year offer is the offer that was made to Mustaine, who knows if that is what was offered to Ian. Unless Fender is different FROM EVERY OTHER MUSIC COMPANY, they can and will tailor the endorsement contracts to suit the needs of the artist if they want that artist bad enough. I can say without question that the offer Jackson used to make was not the same for every artist on their roster.

And really, how many JJs were being sold? Not many. At least Dave sold some Vs, Ian was not much of a guitar hero to anyone.
