new jake e lee cd rocks!

The guys at the store i get most of my cd's knew how much i wanted this one, so they let me get it on saturday, instead of tuesday which is the official release date.

Its all covers but you can tell its jake and honestly, i can hear hints of Voodoo Highway.Ansley Dunbar and Tim Bogert are killer and the singer does a bang up job doing the vocals.The jamesgang song they do, he sounds just like joe walsh [img]/images/graemlins/laugh.gif[/img] i know thats not hard to do, but its cool.Definatley worth the price of admission.

Personal faves are "im creepin and way back to the bone.The cd is raw, like the badlands stuff.Im hoping he'll do some live dates to support it.Id love to see this band live.

I agree that would be a killer live band. I'm glad it rocks and you like it. I personally wish he'd do some originals but doing covers is a big step in the right direction. Nice to see Jake back at it...

Shawn, hell getting him to anything was a chore for Varney.Covers was probably just to get it started again without having to find a band, write a bunch of songs. I dont care really at this point. Lynch did something like this last year, but all he did was the solos, someone else did the rest which i thought was lame.

Hopefully Jake will realize that there are still fans of his wanting to hear him play.He lost some of his speed, but everything else is still there.

I have this CD on order and I can't wait to hear it. It's killing me. I've been listening to nothing but Badlands for the last few weeks.

Bogert and Dunbar also play on the SCHENKER - PATTISON 2nd CD.
I've been playing it all week. Great stuff too!
