Those clips sound exactly like Van Halen in my opinion. Of course, I have never heard the Atomic Punks....but that is some pretty amazing shit.

Sleep. The sound doesn't collapse to riffs of early eyes either.

Bart and The Guys were doing The Punks around 1992, but it wasen't the same scale.

I know you did this in the basement, is that to blame for the pour timing. J/K.I have to admit your backround vocals are better. But stop felating yourself in front of us. Instead of letting us give you any props, you make us look for your faults.. Nice Harmonics too!

                                Re: \"Dirty Movies\" intro

Timing??!!...we had pretty good timing...best drummer I ever had (as far as meter goes) ...the tape is probably warped....it was just a fun thing for me...a money maker..I didn't care...but we were GREAT at what we did without effort...I got tapes with those same guys since 1982...and we sounded basically the same..we were all close friends from school that naturally loved and played VH..so it wasn't work in the slightest..it was just what we did anyways.

BUT you had to be there honestly...we all dressed and looked like them..we had so many strippers (singer's wife and freinds) and chicks there dancin' and shit...hell by the end of the night they thought WE were Van halen...alcohol is good like that

We played in front of about 1200+ people one night...1964 a Beatles tribute opened for us...NOW THEY WERE AWESOME...and I don't even like the Beatles..we made $2000 that night...500 for me and free drinks, chicks and food...life was good.

we were good at what came natural to us...like I said it wasn't even work..

Kevin Dugan ...one of old VH roadies is an attorney here with connection to the VH camp and he supported us like crazy...he got us the gig with Roth...they wanted us to go to Buffalo where Dave lived and do a show..but I was a cop and everyone else had day jobs that couldn't be put on hold...so they were going to bring Dave over here to do the show...4000 for him and 1000 for us...we didn't even want the money...I just wanted to do that...fuck that would have been awesome..

but my wife got very sick and went to the Hospital..the band broke up...and then years later Dave hooks up with The Atomic Punks...which I know for fact are not as polished as we were...so that is why I have somewhat bitter feeling about them...to me they weren't crap....not then ...not now.

They are coming here to the House of Blues this month..I will talk to them ...I will bring some photos and that demo with me...they probably heard of us...who knows.

it is cool that somebody half way decent is carrying the torch...knowing that VH themselves can't do it as good any longer...

Seriously , we were better live than VH was live...they were always drunk , silly and sloppy live IMO...nothing like the record...we were like the record..but live....or pretty fucking close to it..we were always consistant. My guitarist had all his programs nailed...he was a natural at eddie..

I'm sure the Atomic Punks probably do a better job live than Van Halen too..to me that is very believable..

Van Halen in the studio...and Van Halen live to me are TWO very different bands..

I was going to buy a busted to shit J D bass that Kevin had for 2500 bucks...but I passed...a friend of the band and manager bought one of Michael's basses...and I used to play it live during my solo...I have pics of that!
