Hey dudes, here's an mp3 of Strung Out doing the Ozzy/Jake classic Bark at the Moon. Personally, I think they due justice to this song. Let me know what you guys think. To keep it gear related it was done using a Triple Rectifier with an ESP SRC on one side with a 5150 and ESP Viper on the other.

wow, this is still one of my all-time favorite songs and I'm also a huge admirer of Jake, so I was curious to hear this coverinterpretation..

and I must confess -and I don't know this group or think I will be a fan-
1- that they made an appreciable effort guitar-wise, certainly compared to a lot of crap these days
2- I'm getting old [img]/images/graemlins/what.gif[/img]
but enough of my blabla, thumbs up for them bringin' this 80's metal classic back under the attention of our youngster friends! [img]/images/graemlins/headbang.gif[/img]

Some songs are just meant to be played at the right speed.
Not bad though.
Don't get me wrong ,I do like the way "A Perfict Circle" does
"Diary of a Mad Man live" Not any faster but a bit darker I would say.

Ahhhh this is old :P I've seen this song live.
This must have been the first ever guitar solo I went 'woa' for. Keep in mind I have not heard the original yet hehe...

Just speculation, but it sounds like Strung Out are fans of Me First and the Gimme Gimmes. Although, I am not sure the Gimme boys can solo like that. [img]/images/graemlins/laugh.gif[/img] I liked it.

Me First and the Gimmes are fucking awesome. And hey, they have freakin' Jake jackson, a.k.a. Chris Shifflett, of Foo Fighters, and i think he's rather good.

tht goes without saying for the rest of Fat Wreck's bands. What a killer label.

I just checked Fat Wreck's website and it turns out that Strung Out is a Fat Wreck band after all.

Yeah, they've been with Fat Wreck since 1994. If you're a fan of Fat definitely check them out, they do some killer stuff.

Fat's got a kickass roster. Everyone from Strung Out, No Use (my old flame fav. punk band), S.O.I.A., Lagwagon, and freakin' Less Than Jake, and tons more, like Swingin' utters and Tilt.!

Hmm, I think the only bands on that site I've heard of are Sick Of It All (I've got one or two of their albums), No Use For A Name (got one of their cds awhile ago and then traded it), and Less Than Jake I've heard of but never really paid attention to.
