Is Doug still with Dio or just doing the Whitesnake thing now?
Never mind, Craig Gold is back with Dio, and Rudy Sarzo is on bass.

Funny that he didn't mention Micky Moody and Bernie Marsden in there. Those guys were the real deal in Whitesnake. Check out "Live...In the Heart of the City". Not shredding stuff, but really good bluesy playing--and they wrote some great stuff with Coverdale. That's when Coverdale was at his best, in my opinion.

Even funnier he didnt mention the BEST guitarist he has ever "worked" with:

RITCHIE BLACKMORE

But I agree with you 110%.
I love the Moody/Marsden era 'Snake too!

You know, for the longest time I would joke that you never saw Craig Goldy, Rudy Sarzo, and Brian Jay (Keel) in the same place at the same time. Now they're together in Dio. Thanks guys... way to kill a joke!

Back to the topic. I think that Vivian felt every bit like the hired gun that he was, hence his lacklustre performance on tour. David and Adrian had been playing a lot together before the Whitesnake supergroup was first formed.

How old is this show? I'm surprised that he made absolutely no mention of Jimmy Page, which must have been a dream come true for Coverdale. After all, he did want to be Plant sooooo bad.
