Unfortunately, news of death & destruction is what sells. I for one am not going to watch it. If I want to see people die or get seriously injured, I'll watch a horror film.

I watched it, you cant really see shit. Personaly i think it should be released to the world can see what a coward and peice of shit that asshole truley was. Maybe people can also learn how to react better in a situation like that. People were still just standing at the front of the stage and not moving, my ass would have either been trying to get the creep or running the other way trying to get help.

The fact that anyone stayed around is unheard of. They were standing there hoping for an opportunity to stop the guy; they have more balls than your average person.

When some one pulls a gun, people scatter in mass hysteria but, those guards and fans stayed even when shots were fired and heros fell one after another! You can see some of them just waiting to get in there and some did get in there and lost there lives for it. You can hear them saying..."He's got to be out of ammo now!" Can you imagine standing your ground with that uncertainty? (Does he have another round or not?)You can clearly see/hear their frustration but, still they stay there hoping to get a chance!

As far as I'm concerned that club was full of heroes and I hope people see that!

I have left this thread open for four hours whilst I thought about it. Although I do have a morbid interest to witness what actually occured, and to see the shitrag that did it, I have decided that I just cant/shouldnt. I asked myself "What good would it serve to see this?" answer : "none." The Deed is already done and the Man is gone, so in the interests of letting the victims Rest In Peace, I decided not to watch it.

yeah, that was posted on blabbermouth a few days ago. i won't watch it, either.

if there was footage, would you want to see randy's plane tear into the bus and smash into that house? or srv in the helicopter? or jimi choking on his own vomit? i know that the news media and society in general has to have everything on video, and everything's reality tv, but posting that is truly tasteless. (referring to the fact that it was released at all)

While I agree that the media does love to drive this kind of thing into the ground, I disagree that it should not be shown. Not showing it is like hiding what happened, or at least trying to make it seem less tragic and horrific than it was.

No one shows the WTC attacks, and no one even shows a movie that has the Twin Towers in it - movies that had clips of the Towers (Spiderman 2) were edited or completely scrapped because they assumed people would be emotionally unbalanced by it.

I disagree. I think showing this clip and showing the clips of the 9-11-01 terrorist attacks (NOT to the point of desensitization) will serve as a "WAKE THE FUCK UP" call to the people that know people like the punk that killed Dime, or the jerk that killed John Lennon, or the airplane pilot/bus driver/cokehead that killed Randy Rhoads, or the filthy Muslim dicks that killed thousands of people by crashing jumbo jets into two of the strongest buldings ever made, so that they'll speak up BEFORE they kill someone.

I never understood why so many people could be found AFTER the fact that said "yeah I knew the guy was screwy, and if anyone woulda done something like this, I figured it'd be him" [img]/images/graemlins/brow.gif[/img]

That's well and good, Newc, but the cops will just tell you they can't do anything until the guy actually commits a crime. Half the people in this country are nuts in one way or another, and the jails and nuthouses just don't have room for those who HAVE done something, let alone those who might. Sad, but true...

In fact, YOU might get arrested for false imprisonment if you do take the keys, or false arrest if you call the cops and nothing arrestable has been done. It doesn't make sense, but then remember those crazies who could jerk YOUR chain if it was that easy to call the cops on someone.
