Colaiuta and Mangini - awesome drummers.
The new breed is Thomas Lang. Heel-toe patterns on the left foot with a sonar giant step twin effect pedal. right foot moving between a bass drum pedal and hi-hat pedal. hands doing some insane independent chops. just nuts.
check out the drumming on the drummerword.com video page. gadd is on there. there's a drummer battle between gadd, weckle, and colaiuta. Vinnie seems to be technically the best, but Gadd's expressiveness blows me away.Comment
