Greenday actually puts on a very good and entertaining show, one of the better concerts i have seen, alot of crowd interaction, tell your daughter to practice some greenday songs if she plays, they pull kids up on stage to play.

Poison was a good-time party band with songs that had groove. I honestly don't expect anyone who was solely into heavier shit at the time or our youngsters on the board to fully appreciate them. But they were great showmen. Especially CC. Last time I saw them was a few years ago in Raleigh. The lineup was Dokken, Cinderella, Night Ranger and Poison as the headliners. Dokken blew chunks, Cinderella kicked ass, Night Ranger kicked bigger ass, but Poison topped them all. Brett didn't like that we were so far away from them in our reserved seats (we were 4th row, left center) so he said fuck security and told the whole crowd to come on down. We made a mad dash for the stage and wound up pushed left on CC's side. Don't regret it at all. He was a pleasure to watch and his focus was making sure we were having a good time. That was the whole band's focus and they succeeded.

Brett was pulling people on stage to sing and dance and I was screamin' at him and pointing to my wife. Of course, she didn't see this because I was standing behind her. She knew what was up when I lifted her up and Brett helped pull her up. Next to getting on stage with Stevie Nicks and Pat Benatar, it was the highlight of her concert-going life. It was definitely one of the top-5 shows we've been to.

If what I say next pisses some of you off, so be it. You'll get over it. [img]/images/graemlins/grin.gif[/img] Most of you who are being critical of CC simply cuz he doesn't play like your favorite shredder or you think he just plain sucks are hypochrites. Isn't it most of you who gripe and complain about other musicians sitting in your audience and criticizing your playing? Hmmmmm? How's that crow tastin' right about now? Need some ketchup? [img]/images/graemlins/laugh.gif[/img]

All I'm sayin' is that CC doesn't write/play material so it will pass your own lil' test of what his abilities are worth. I think his bank account balance over the years speaks to that. But even more than that, he and Poison provided great entertainment. Period. [img]/images/graemlins/grin.gif[/img]

I think Poison was a good band, if you pass the make up and girly looks sometimes, you can hear nice songs on them.

I mentioned a few days ago that I'd post pictures of the show this past Saturday that featured Bret Michaels. There are some pics of my band on this site too (I'm in Cold Filtered playing the white Jackson Rhoads). Bret's band was actually very, very good. They pretty much owned the day.
