yes, in the 90's they used Rocktron Piranhas. KK used a dual recto also.

Not to mention the eq in the studio and on the final mix that plays a part in the finished product,thats why these guys get paid so much.

They still use the Pranhas going into Marshall 9100's. Key to there tone is alot of effects if you ask me.
