Any rumors on Van Halen

Anyone hear anything new about Van Halen. It's been quiet since the tour ended and I was hoping a new album would appear sometime.

All I heard was that Mike said that he didn't want to tour again until Eddie stopped drinking (he was out on tour with Sammy). Maybe Ed is just spending all his time in the workshop designing D-tunas for acoustics or whatever he'll come up with next [img]/images/graemlins/laugh.gif[/img]

Van Halen grossed around 28 million last year. Seven mil each ain't bad when you're way past prime. Mike's right - Ed must be really unbearable to work with in that state. Ed's a walking time bomb unfortunitely.

Everytime I saw or read an interview with Ed, I realized that he has always been the problem. There is not enough room in VH for two huge egos...and Ed's is huge enough for 6-7 people. He has always been that way. Just look at his attitude towards other people "stealing" his look, or his techniques or whatnot. He always wants to be the originator, and always wants to be original. Those are certainly admirable qualities for anyone, but then to back it up with an attitude directed at all that follow his lead is not admirable.

Honestly, I am floored that he even allowed the EVH Art Series guitars to be produced...he must be mellowing in his old age...or too drunk to care.

He looks like a trainwreck too, which is a shame.

I heard Ed is/was in rehab. I'd guess there probably won't be anything happening with VH until he's through that. (...And if it works?)

i've said it before, i'll say it again, i'm taking bets anytime.
dave and eddie will re-unite and knock us all out with one last incredible album. they owe it to us. it will wail the piss out of any hagar album just like the rest of them did too. just have to wait it out. and i'm impatient.

anybody heard that Dave is taking an EMT course in New York City and is actually responding with an ambulance crew?? It was on the news here about 2 months ago...

Now every time I hear a VH song (any version of the "band"}, I picture Diamond Dave running down the sidewalk in the middle of Times Square with a defribulator in one hand,that spear in the other,in that whole get up from the Yankee Rose video.....can't help it....really kinda creepy if you truely consider it....
