Re: Any Evergrey fans?

Thanks Joe,
I thought they did....that Evergrey logo on the 12th came to mind, but thought maybe that could've just been a custom shop thing.

I don't think they're actual "models" that you can buy, though - I think they're just mods on the standard guitars. According to the company's site, anyway, they don't have a specific "model" for sale...

Hmm, I thought Caparison did have them on their site at one time.

They have them listed as endorsers, but you can't buy a guitar "off the shelf" that's an Evergrey model, at least not that I can find.

Re: Any Evergrey fans?

They're made especially for them....custom guitars for free. But caparison doesn't sell their models to the public. THey're basically Horus models with the Evergrey clan lgo on teh 12th fret, some have ebony fingerboards, some maple...

Henrik's has a push pull switcher on his volume knob and it's positions quite farther away fromthe pickups than a regular horus' has it.

Re: Any Evergrey fans?

They don't have signature guitars. It is just standard guitars modified to their taste.

Caparison doesn't have a custom shop per say, artists pick their guitars from the standard production line and have them modified to their taste.

An amazing band and pretty crazy partiers. Got to hang out with them after a show once here and I still hurt thinking about it.

So they were actually just "custom shop" guitars then...not true "Signatures"

Yeah, as far as I can see from their catalog there is:
IA Eklundh Model - Apple Horn(modded Horus)

Chris Amott Model - Dellinger-CA

Ace Model - Angelus-ACE

These are the signatures in their US/English catalog. I think they have a couple more Japanese-exclusive but none of those are world-wide known artist. At least I don't know them.

I've been a fan ever since The Dark Discovery. I had to buy it off of ebay from some dude in Germany (no American distribution at the time) but it was worth every penny. Their latest efforts haven't really settled with me as well as their earlier ones but they have definitely upped the technical level of their music, and improved the soloing quite a bit. Englund's vocals have also improved considerably and they're much better at writing ballads now too. I really want to see that DVD, I've heard good things about it.

The best part of all is when I saw them play a while back with Iced Earth and Children of Bodom I met up with Tom and Jonas after they finished playing and spoke with them both. After I told Tom that I'd been a fan since the first album he shook my hand and said thank you and told me he appreciated the support (that is a rarity with most signed / touring bands). I told Jonas that it was bad ass that he was headbanging while playing drums and he said that he was glad someone noticed because he always thought drummers never do anything when they play. We went on to discuss headbanging.. How's that for a metal conversation?

[/ QUOTE ]

If I'm not wrong Jonas is the guy on the A Touch of Blessing video clip... And that video kicks so much ass mainly because of Jonas's performance! Amazing drummer and also an amazing song...

I've been into Evergrey for about 6 months, and I always thought metal music isn't and will never ever be as good as it was in 80's until I started listening to bands like Nevermore and Evergrey

Recreation Day is a great album and especially Englund is a wonderfull musician.

I'm now donwloading their DVD 4.1 gb in 1kb/s

IA plays in a band called Freak Kitchen and he's an amazing guitarplayer. Check them out!!! You won't be disappointed!

Amott brothers play in Arch Enemy and Michael used to play in Carcass. Really good players both of them.

I know bro, I know them all except that Ace guy, that guy is Japanese I think.

I grew up on Carcass, although I have to admit that I don't like Arch Enemy at all...
