That was pretty cool! Too bad he's gone. At least he went down doing what he loved to do! I always thought he ripped!

That fucking ruled! Man, he pulls Kirk's leads off so much smoother than Kirk.

Err...I mean he pulls off Kirk's version of Dave's lead so much smoother than Kirk or Dave can.

All of this just reminded me of what I really miss about Dime the most: the fact that he was just a regular guy who loved music more than anything. You always hear stories about Dime sitting in with a band, Dime in the front row of a packed concert rocking out, Dime chilling with fans and geeking out while talking guitar. When I read his "60 Minutes of Music that Rocks My World" in Guitar World, you could tell how excited he got just talking about the music that made him want to play.

I know there are a ton of people that can tell similiar stories. Growing up in DFW (Irving) I got to see Pantera play a couple of times at a club called Metal Works in Arlington. When they played they did a two part set, first part covers second part originals. Dime would walk out into the audiance during the cover portion and climb on tables, playing and mixing it up with the crowd. He really loved the songs he played even though they were not his own. You hear all these people go on about how Dime was truely a nice and kind guy and he was. He didnt know me from Adam, but the first time I saw em play he walked up to me and a friend before his set and just started shootin the shit. Offered to buy us a beer but I was a dork and admitted to being underage. At the time I really took it for granted and even after they took off they were still just the local guys that made it. Of the seemingly millions of times they played in the local clubs I only managed to see them three times the last being on the FBD tour in a huge venue.
