Anybody hear of Holy Soldier? These guys were supposed to be the next Stryper. Great SoCal metal sound, a little bit more metal than Stryper but without the slick vocal production. I used to work at their label when they came out way back when. Their second album "Last Train" has some great moments on it.

Mass was cool, holy soldier was okay, i expected alot more for what i had read about them.You worked at Restless?

Ive seen them on the soldiers tour and every tour since (them with tnt and loudness at red rocks was amazing)including the reunion.

You go see queensryche or any band from the same era and their singers range went down, not michaels , he hit all the notes, even the ones from the yellow and black attack days [img]/images/graemlins/headbang.gif[/img]

A lot of people are waiting. The last live album from last year was awesome. I've never got to see them live, but I have all the albums. It will be a 425 mile round trip for me to see them this year.

Just my 2 bits.Im sure there are alot of stryper fans and i can respect that but I seem to remember in the late 80s reading an interview with them after thier popularity was fading where they said the religous theme was all a gimmick and they were really not religous at all.maybe Im wrong but more power to them.

I think thet are real about their religion.

but a lot of "Christian" bands go thru this ..there is a local band here that went on that whole "Christian" defense ..Antithesis..thet actually got slammed by the locals for being a christian band...so one dude left the band that wanted it to be a christian band..

and now even though they are "christian" they are not a christian band..

I think that whole thing is stupid as long as the music is good...if it's good then fuck it...

Point take horns,however I feel about them they played some killer jacksons in the 80s.I would say more so than in the past I believe they are true to thier religion.

I have seen them every time they came to Dallas/Ft Worth, TX. I have always enjoyed the music and energy of their shows. I'm an atheist, but I know good music when I hear it.

Btw, Michael Sweet will be playing Gibbys(flying V) on the Reborn tour. He now endorses them.

Yeah, he sold off those cutom peaveys on ebay last year, the hrf ones were cool.Free guitars=cool.He had quite a few of his jacksons stolen years back, including his famous rhoads and kelly.

They always rock the hell out you!Thats why Bill wont go see them, lol.
