The new album says Jeff is endorsed by Schecter guitars, Peavey amps, Digitech, SIT strings and Dunlop picks, and Steve is endorsed by BC Rich guitars, Mesa/Boogie amps, SIT strings and Dunlop picks.

No as far as I know he still has em..prolly records with them...who knows..

evertime I see him play wchich is ..about a dozen times now...he always used a different guitar..

but in '98 or so he was playing nothing but RR1...a black one..

It was cool as shit seeing a due shred like that on a RR...

It left a mark on me..

Funny...I want to play like Loomis now just as I wanted to play like Eddie 20 years ago..

Loomis tooks Ed's place for me...somebody finaly had to...Ed gave up and hasn't kicked any ass since the FUCK album..athough balance has moments...but that was over ten years ago already..

and there were a lot of great guiatarist since and there is so many great players out there...and you know I know of them all...

But Loomis was the fucker that just blew my ass away...since the first time I seen him play..there is something most original about him and his approach and playing style..

I watch all kinds of player...hell the best of em..who Vai , Satch , Gilbert , Frieman , Laroque , Roy Z , Zakk , Dime, Laiho the A-ho , Drover , Malmsteen , ...all of 'em

Loomis annihilates them all in my book...to me !!

all those guys GREAT...but this guy is bring something very awesome and original to the table that none of those guys are...IMO

both jeff and steve are using krank stacks for gigantour.
like mentioned above, the new record was recorded using a rectifier as well as the krank revolution. andy sneap loves them. you can also hear those amps on the new arch enemy record.

and i totally agree on jeff loomis kicking anyones ass...i' tell anyone who says he isn't *that* good to listen to psalm of lydia and this godless endeavor and shut the fuck up [img]/images/graemlins/laugh.gif[/img]
he's really amazing. i can't wait to see them on tour. actually, the german thrash band dew-scented are supporting them on their european tour, and we know those guys quite well...maybe i can hang with jeff and the boys after the show....this would be so amazing..... I guess I just don't get it. I listened to the Dead Heart in a Dead World album a few times and it didn't really impress me. I'd rather see Herman Li with Jackson

well, dhiadw is their most straighforward one. the guitar work tends to be rather simple when compared to other records, as they focused on writing catchy stuff. there are a couple of smokin leads on the album, though (engines of hate anyone? [img]/images/graemlins/laugh.gif[/img]).
for a nevermore newbie, just check out their newest record. very well written songs mixed together with unplayable riffs and killer solos. politics of ecstacy is a good choice, too.

Probaly because greenday is a top selling artist.

Probaly because greenday has sold more albums then about 10 metal groups combined.

Probaly because not everyone judges a guitar player by how many fucking notes they can play a minute.

Probaly because Greenday is a top artist in there genre of music and have good writting skills.

Oh and just so you know i am not a big fan of greenday, i kinda despise groups that write music that is politically driven, but when it comes down to it greenday is good at what they do and billy is a good guitar player WEATHER you like his style not!
