    Re: Gilbert video request

I've got his first two instructional videos.
    One word...INCREDIBLE.
Thats how you play guitar, the Gilbert way.
Peace, Love and Happieness and all that stuff...

I personally do not care how it was built as long as it is a good playing/sounding instrument.

Yeah, the dude's name is Brian Connor, he's from Cali, and the closest thing to 'being' Paul Gilbert is that he used to take lessons 'from' Paul Gilbert. They're both awesome!

This reminds me, I saw him at a clinic here in VA in '89 right before the first Mr. Big album came out. He did this piece that my teacher at the time transcribed but I don't know the name of it. Guitar Player at that time also had these plastic 45 rpm records in the magazine and they had it in an issue. I can't remember the name of the piece and does anyone by chance have an mp3 of it?

I saw him at a guitar show in Atlanta around the same time. Vivian Campbell, Rik Emmitt, and Billy Sheehan were there also. All but Vivian gave free clinics.

Janis Joplin's tour bus was also on display and you were allowed to go inside her bus.

                      Re: Gilbert video request

There is a video on torrent sites and is called "Heavy Metal San" from Japan.
                      A 30min program.
There are couple of these out there and #17 is where Paul Gilbert battles with Marty Friedman.
It is so funny and you guys should check it out.
                      It is about 350MB.
Here is the direct link to download this.
You must have a program to handle a torrent file such as bitcomet or Azureus.
                      Get it beofre too late.

The videos on www.racerxband.com are up for a while, I checked them this morning. So if you want any you better go and grab them before the bandwidth is used up again for the month. They usually don't last long.

I just watched several of these vids that I'd not seen before. Holy crap, Paul is just unbelievable. He is very inspirational...and depressing at the same time.

Oh yeah that's Marty's show from Tokyo TV... I missed the one with Paul on it, but I watched a few eps, and I have two captured onto my computer in low quality.
It's a pretty entertaining show, Marty's Japanese is pretty good too.
