Re: queensryche operation livecrime

I read an interview with Wilton and DeGarmo from that era, and they claimed they had been using Peavey Trans-tube preamps in their racks around OMC and Empire. I found that very odd. But, believable.

I've played wizard amps, and they are basically a VERY nice sounding AC/DC sounding amp.

Man, you're too lucky to be friends with Mike Stone.

Mike is one hell of a great musician. He is also a great singer and song writer. I haven't known him too long, but he is a very down to earth guy. I have not heard back from him yet, but I'm sure I will soon. When I initially talked to him, he was pretty sure they were using ADA MP-1's.

No problem. It's hard to get a hold of him when he's touring. It shouldn't be much longer. Sorry it's taken so long.

Re: queensryche operation livecrime

I bought Operation Mindcrime the day it was released, being a huge Queensryche fan at the time. At first I didn't know what to think. The first couple of listens I remember wishing it were heavier. But shortly after it became glued to my cassette deck. That album is a masterpiece. After seeing this thread I hunted down Livecrime. Very cool
Hear the universe scream
Bleeding from black holes
Whom horns careless
And whom God mourns
