• Possibly most impressive technical playing ever.

http://s44.yousendit.com/d.aspx?id=3...H2OZH29OJQ9C59

Tiago Della Vega, he looks and sounds faster than Cooley, Bellas, Batio,.... eventhough I know the former two were clocked at 38 nps as well. But this guy's technical form is nothing short of amazing, I see absolutely ZILCH movement in his fingers, even less than MAB or Yng. The only bit of critique you could have is his right hand possibly moving just a tad too much.

His sweeppicking is also cleaner and better than just about any other I've ever heard.

Sure, I got bored out of my skull after just these 30 odd seconds, but it's worthy of praise.
You took too much, man. Too much. Too much.

Holy crap that technique was impressive. I love/hate shred. These guys usually have a kickass melodic start then it goes off into fast stuff that dosen't hold as much water as the first thing they played. (Jason Becker is my absolute favorite though, I can listen to more than a minute of his stuff) Very cool though

...and to think there are folks out there who say that shred guitar can be boring and sterile.

Okay, the dude has MAJOR technique, but why do we have to know the nps count? It's like the machine that tells us how fast a tennis player's serve is - who GIVES a shit?

I can't believe I'm posting this - I sound like one of the "Old farts" who used to rag me about my love of Malmsteen and Vai!

The thing with the NPS count is simple. There is a whole group of players out there that only care about clean NPS. I was a member around 20 years ago. In the early 80's the magic # was 18nps. They keep raising the bar every year. Its kind of like breaking a sports record. 36nps is the fastest I have ever heard. I thought Batio was around 28. Malmsteen was around 24. Its not supposed to be a contest on whats good sounding or not. Its a contest with the focus only being on clean speed. Thats the highest NPS I have ever heard.

That's pretty damn amazing. The note count thing is pretty silly, but that guy is frightening, nonetheless.

Pretty sick but I don't think I could listen to much more of that than what I heard on the clip. Do you think he can bend a note?

If I wasn't watching that and I was just listening, I would swear it was just some dufus running 1 finger up and down a string...it was SO fast it was almost indistinguishable.

That guy's a fucker..but from from what I seen ..I prefer , Frank Gambale , Greg Howe , MacAlpine , Gilbert , Shawn lane , Romeo , Lenk , ..and my boy Loomis..and Cooley

he one fast SOB..very quite impressive..I can go fast too..but that was just freakin' insane.

I would say he's on par with Batio..from what I gathered from that clip..he's articulate!

he sounds like a better version of a local buddy of mine..

Actually at the end of the shredsequence, before he goes into the sweeping, he actually seems to show some rather good vibrato and a little bend.

I agree with you all, I think this all-out shred stuff is boring as hell and music is not a competition, but as fellow guitarists we can all relate to how long and hard he must have worked. My hat off to that, sir!

hmm, that speed can be used for a little bit, that would be cool or something, just for some noise purpose, just like pick scrape, dive bomb etc. are used to spice the leads up.

BTW. is he a relative to ZORRO?

That is faster than Batio.

Very clean...I don't care what anyone says about no feel and all that crap...It really gets so tired hearing..."But he has no feeling". The dude is showcasing his ability on a home vid! That is impressive...Period! I'm sure he can play "Still got the blues" if he wants to...lol

I dont know about you guys but, when I practice my scales and sweeps I do not go for feeling...I go for speed and articulation. I can still play with feeling but I can shred too. Practice and performing...Two different things.

Wish there was better audio though.
