Re: 1980\'s videos

I think Uncle Milt might have been Pearcy's uncle if I remember right. I'll have to go dig out some of my 1985 Hit Parader mags and refresh my memory...

Supposedly the manager or producer was Milton's nephew. It's on VH1's Metals Top 40 Least Metal Moments. It's something along those lines anyway.

        Thanks for posting Wanted Man!

Milton Bearle's nephew Marshall Berle produced Ratt.

Well conceived video concept, King as John Wayne. Kinda like a heavy metal western short film.

          Re: 1980\'s videos

quite frankly, I think even the new metallica is better than 95% of the shyt out there that you hear nowadays. Just my opinion, but there will be no greater than metallica. Old, new, next week.....doesnt matter. Give me ANY Met ANY day of the week. And it could be St.Anger, guess I'm the only that thought it was a decent effort. If metallica kept making MOP over and over again, they'd be like any other 80's thrash band out there, way too many to start naming from their era, that died with the times. And I AM their number 1 fan

If that seemed a little rantish is because it was. The whole "Metallica has sold out" "if cliff were still alive, this would have never happened" "metallica is weak" is just starting to get on my nerves. If it had been james that died, every1 would be saying the same thing about him......and look who pioneered the black/load/reload revolution.........JAMES (and kirk and lars...you get the picture). Id bet every penny in the bank that cliff would be right there as well, every step of the way.

thanks to every1 that has posted a video. Brings back alot of good memories

That's Marshall Berle as the 'card shark' in the video.

Cut..I gave up on Metallica ...hmmmmmm 15 years ago.and never looked back..and I don't really miss 'em..I own way too much awesome stuff that I haven't heard yet..I can't keep up to the overwhelming great new metal bands coming out..of all genres..it's just sick.

I got like 7000 metal cds that I much rather listen to than Metallica..but that's me.

Bur not many people have 7000 metal cds and still growing fast..as we speak.

metal never went away it got better and better..you would never know it even existed by the mainstream..it wasn't "cool" , marketable or promoted whatsoever.

Better than Metallica??? ..dude MY list would be endless when it comes to bands burrying Metallica on their best day..even ride the lightning which is awesome!

But I'll just name bands you never heard of..so that doesn't us any good at all.

Alright, here is one of my favorites: Breaking the Law with Judas Priest:

I think it's hilarious What a nice storyline: Rob a bank with a Flying V, while Rob Halford is shaking his shoulders like a latino dancer The song is great though :-)

Every band that I hear of, such as those on this forum, I ALWAYS check out (yeah, i download em off kazaa, i admit that ) ) and so far, no good on anything i've heard. I guess i'm just a music snob, always have been

By the way you judge how big a fan is of a band by how many guitars they owned that were once owned by the band so I am the biggest Metallica fan here.

I agree with cutthroat that all the bands now a days suck and Metallica the way they are can kick any of their asses. Yeah there were more hardcore and technically advanced bands back in the day but most of anything coming out in the last five years falls short in one way or another. I am greatfull that I had great music on the radio and MTV when I was in jr high and high school but todays stuff sucks.

Also notice how nice and shiny James' Eet Fuk explorer was in the One video.

Have you seen the 175meg live video at Curt's/Sully's webpage? It's a really really nice tribute site for Robbin Crosby. You can find the video via the following link but if you like RATT, check out the rest of this site as well (www.robbincrosby.net), it's great! Check it out:
