Fucking great band. Surely I'm not the only one here that actually owns the album?

I have the old one from 87 or whenever it was: 'Back Seat Education' and all that.....classic, and some of the most ridiculous lyrics ever!

Yep, that's the one. I bought it after seeing them open for Guns 'n Roses back in '87 at the Danville, IL Civic Center in front of a crowd of maybe 1500 people. Fucking wild show, they had cops in riot gear in front of the stage and the place was just a complete zoo and this was *before* AFD hit it big. Zodiac Mindwarp was just a killer live band back in the day.

They've just done a new one, I believe called 'Rock Savage' - I heard the title song and it was OK, but very different to the Tattoo'd Beat Messiah era....

We used to do a cover of "Prime Mover". What a great song! The video's even better - Schoolgirls, armoured vehicles and exploding nuns!

Yeah that was Flash Bastard - or Jan Cyrka as his Mum probably knows him!
By all accounts he's a bit good, I know he released a couple of guitar instrumental albums in the early/mid 90's. Originally favoured Kramer Nightswans, but then joined up with Palm Bay guitars.

Re: Zodiac Mindwarp & the Love Reacion

Glad I'm not the only one. I was curious because of all the discs in my collection Tattooed Beat Messiah probably draws more comments, is liked by more people who've never heard of the band, and is one that no one seems to have heard of.

I loved pretty much all the tunes on Tattooed Beat Messiah but those (what can only be described as) poetry readings interspersed in there just about drove me nuts. That album is almost infinitely better on an mp3 playlist where those can be edited out.

Never saw the Prime Mover vid but schoolgirls, armored vehicles, and exploding nuns sounds more than a little like that show in Danville....

LOL I suppose but the bit at the beginning of TBM is probably the single goofiest thing I've ever heard on an album. Funny thing is that if it'd have been Jim Morrison I probably wouldn't have minded.
