Do you guys like the stuff by Avenged Sevenfold ? I do ! Alot !! That guitarist can play man !! I really like the guitar harmonies as well as the vocalist. They really seem to have something good going on. Lemme know what you guys think.

I got Waking the Fallen and only really liked a couple of songs. The latest album did nothing for me. But he can play!

I just discovered them a few months ago. Great band for sure, and a nice change from all the thrash I'm usually listening to.

My brother likes `em quite a bit. What always bothered me was that the vocal harmonies sounded WAY too artificial. That style of music should sound raw, not polished (presumably by a computer or effects processor) to the point that it sounds like manufactured radio pop.

You're right, sounds like a slice of Queen harms on top of cut throat metal !! I like the metal stuff, the harms are a little too canned like you said. Maybe a new producer would vault them to a good place. Definately talented dudes though !

I will admit, their guitarist is talented... That guy can play. I really do not care for the vocals, but the rest of the band is pretty cool. Doesn't their guitarist play a schecter temptest?

really talented group, such a shame what happened to his vocals and not being able to scream anymore! The new album is starting to grow on me a little, just the vocals is hard to get use too.

I like these guys alot. I really dug "Waking the Fallen" and am starting to get into the new one. I like the Iron Maidenish guitar harmonies. I agree that the background vocals sound over-produced, but I don't totally dislike that. Like others have said, I have to get used to not hearing M. Shadows not scream.

They could be really good, if they just cut out all the non-solo sections of their songs. Somehow, when the songs get to the solo sections, they kick INSANE amounts of ass, but for the rest of the song they're fucking horrible.

Well that is your opinion, alot of us like the whole package and think they bring alot more to the table then alot of bands out there that just copy the same old cookie monster singing type sound with the same heavy downtuned guitars doing the same type of rythem.
