• Paul gilbert solo

Not sure if this has been posted. Thought I would throw it out there. Wish I had his chops.

The cordless drill cracked me up.

Be without fear in the face of your enemies. Be brave and upright, that God may love thee. Speak the truth always, even if it leads to your death. Safeguard the helpless and do no wrong.

Even though I saw this vid a few years ago, it's still awesome. Although, I didn't see the part with the drill until now, such a crazy guy.

I've got this on video somewhere at home. The guy is amazing. Technique, inventiveness - all across the board +10.

Though, I have to say, he was better about the drill stuff in the earlier days of Racer X. In Mr.Big, he was just too tame with it and using it more as a trill.

If I didn't despise Ozzy so much I would say Paul is perfect for that gig.

This guy is an incredible player - very inspiring.

Hmmm, interesting, but I think PG is a bit overqualified, honestly. Not that Ozzy hasn't had some great players, but PG is perfect in an insane guitar setting, like Racer X, something that is just left of straightforward rock. Ozzy is very much an "in the pocket" type of music.

I have heard Racer X do a Black Sabbath tune and it rocked, but I just think Paul is better unbridled.

Nope, too busy being mezmerized by his guitar playing, and just too straight to look at his ass.

You may be right, but he deserves some major league exposure. Mr Big were HUGE overseas but never really did what they should have over here.

It's for the best - I can't stand Ozzy and I would want to have a "trickle down" effect on Paul.

Sleep. The sound doesn't collapse to riffs of early eyes either.

i love PG but i don't like his guitar sound. the whole parallel wired pickups just don't do it for me. too transparant of a guitar sound for my tastes.

but can't take anything away from his playing. one of the best in the world! + his instructional videos are about the best there is as far as being able to teach you something. *cough cough* yngwie!
