Just walked in the door from it...
Fireball Ministry sounded like an old school Sabbath/Motorhead style band. Didn't really suit the bill, but they gave it a good try.
Nevermore I actually liked, singer was in great form, Loomis whizzed all over the fretboard. Their guitar sound a little overcompressed etc, very little attack or bite to it.
Opeth was great. Some sound problems, some of which continued thru most of their set. their set list in rough order was:
Baying of the Hounds
Bleak
In My Time of Need
Grand Conjuration
Deliverance
Blackwater Park
one I can't remember the name of
Demon of the Fall
very good show. Akerfeld did a comedy routine all show between the songs. My only complaint would be that i would have rather heard anything else off Blackwater Park rather than Bleak, but oh well. They will be coming back across the country in February so I can check them out again
