Terrible sounding guitar

16 year old boy with a terrible sounding guitar

So,the guy is quite good for a 16 year old (he's playing the guitar solo of Children Of Bodom's "Follow The Reaper") but the sound of that guitar is just terrible...Anyone know what causes a guitar to sound shit like that?

almost sounds like a violin, i would have to say it is probaly a solid state something that is mic'd horribly.

it is because of the recording equpment.

He might get a better tone if the video played at normal speed.

My first clue was in the text in the top right corner, "16 years old boy playing guitar, speed up."
