• Lamb Of God appreciation thread!!!!

I can't get enough of these guys. I have been listening to Ashes of the Wake pretty much non stop for months now. The riffage is just amazing. These songs are so fun to play and a great workout too. Everytime I pick up my guitar I have to play Hourglass. I even like the vocals now which I didn't like when I first started listening to them about a year and a half ago. Ok, rant over...just wanted to share the love.

Ashes Of The Wake and As The Palaces Burn are awesome albums!!! New American Gospel is pretty good, but I don't care for the drum sound on that album all that much, and the vocals on that album aren't all that great at times, IMO.
And their old independent debut release when they were called Burn The Priest is also pretty good.

LOG is cool but I like Shadows Fall and Children of Bodom much more. The LOG DVD is pretty cool though. Jon Donais is just the man though.

I keep on trying to play Leid to Rest (i'm to slow lol), their riffage is awesome and very up paced.

I'm also a fan of their's. I'm also familiar with a few of hte band members, Chris is an amazing and articulate person who I could talk to all day.

Start with Omerta, it's the easiest one on the cd.

I think they're easily my favourite band at the moment. Their riffs are just amazing.

Yes, they are. Gotta love a band that plays in Drop D and does some cool riffs and solos without just bashing out 1-finger power chords.

They hardly do chords, maybe some open ones but for the most part they just do riffage.

I think they're probably the only recent-ish band out there at the moment that has decent riffs that dont rely on a simple cliched melody to carry them.

I like the newest album, but damn those riffs are so Slayer it drives me nutz. I feel guilty for not actually having Reign In Blood in the CD player at that exact moment.
