Slayer has pointless solos and just does chromatic stuff.

LoG makes dissonet(sp) music that fits really well.

The riffs may be Slayer-esque, but Slayer can only wish that they could groove half as well as LoG. Their drummer is probably one of the most inventive musicians I have ever heard.
