Drive-By Truckers are amazing! Check out Southern Rock Opera and The Dirty South. Some of the best singalong tunes I've heard in years!!!

There's some older Doobie Bros. stuff that qualifies. Not the Michael McDonald crap. [img]/images/graemlins/eviltongue.gif[/img] The Jeff Skunk Baxter, Pat Simmons, Tom Johnson picking. "Greatest Hits Vol 1" has some of the early selections. "Without You" is a kickass song. Of course everyone is familar with Black Water and China Grove.

Doesn't Charlie Daniels fit this genre too?

Charlie Daniels classifies as Southern Rock, but can go more into Country as well as over to some form of Jazz (No Potion For The Pain).

Jackyl's from the Atlanta area if I recall correctly. IMHO, they're more in the metal genre (subcatagorize where ever you like).
