Just throwing in my two cents, I'll agree their older stuff is better, but they still kick ass live. I was really amazed at how "tight" they sounded this past year as opposed to the good old days with Kelly Gray. I think Mike Stone has and will continue to be a positive for the band. I don't think they'll ever be as good as back in the "Empire" and before days, but they're sounding a hell of alot better than say four or five years ago.

good to hear, cause Kelly Gray was a travesty.

Yeah, he was for sure. Mike Stone isn't Chris DeGarmo but he's not trying to be, he's definately brought some enthusiasm back to the group. Of course the best thing about seeing them the past couple of times was they done alot of their best stuff, including the entire "Operation Mindcrime" set, which just freakin' kicked ass!!

I totally agree. Saw them this past summer in Minneapolis. Great show.

Here are two of the new songs from QR.com

                    http://www.queensryche.com/releases/...phernalia.html

These are live and lower quality, but man is it good to hear solos again and with harmonies!

I think this is going to be a good QR albumn.

Geoff's "normal" voice is way lower than Rob's but he can reach higher pitch than Rob (well at least 15 years ago he could) and Geoff can sing higher without falsetto than Rob.

Ronnie James Dio!!! I'll buy the album on the release date... I can't wait!

I believe in Queensryche again. I actually like the song "I'm American", it doesn't sound as modern or boring as Tribe or any of their recent releases.

the other song isn't bad either. I'm cautiously optimistic though. I need to hear the whole album, but so far, I'm on board.
