Izzy's "super" Tele

I love Izzy Stradlin's white Tele in the Sweet Child O Mine video and was wondering (a) what type it was and (b) what other 80s style super teles there are out there? I know that Charvel did a Model 7, right?

But what other manufacturers/models would you recommend I look out for?

Izzy's guitar was an ESP Eclipse (not to be confused with the current LP type Eclipse).

Schecter also did 'super tele' type guitars...

Yeah, the old Tele Eclipse. There's an overpriced one on ebay from the GC not too far from me. I've seen it in person, and it's cool, but it's been sitting there for far too long with an even higher pricetag than it has on ebay right now.

in comparison, the GC one is a neck thru w/24 frets and a carved top. Was the Eclipse Custom an actual model or is the GC one a custo shop?

I believe the Custom was just a regular model designation. That other one seems to be a later model with their "vintage" type headstock.

A little shop in Shrewsbury in the UK has a super tele. Its a black Tokai one, no inlays, 1 white dual blade humbucker & a locking trem. Never seen one like it before, got a feeling its a parts tele, but made of Tokai parts.. really unusual!

Always fancied an Izzy style tele, pretty good!
